MANCHESTER — The New Hampshire Coalition to End Homelessness has started recruiting people for its Granite Leaders program, which has the goal of building leadership skills within the homeless and formerly homeless community.
Applications are being accepted until Oct. 1 the program's second class, which starts in November and is limited to 20 students.
The six-month, free program is followed by a year and a half of mentorship. Participants learn specific skills and interact with leaders on the local, statewide and national levels. Graduates become part of a network of skilled leaders focused on improving the quality of life in communities across New Hampshire.
