Annual Manchester hunger walk sets new record for number of teams

MANCHESTER - About 1,000 walkers took part in the 25th annual New Horizons Walk Against Hunger on Sunday.

This year, the event set a record with 41 different teams made up of businesses, churches, families and friends. Funds raised from the walk will go to benefit New Horizons, the state's largest homeless shelter, soup kitchen and food pantry.

The event was hosted by NH1's anchors Paul Mueller and Charlie Sherman, who serves as executive director of the nonprofit.
