LACONIA – The 33rd Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction kicked off Tuesday.
The five-day auction raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children’s charities.
Tuesday, the Imaginarium Kinder Choir, made up of three eight-year-olds, kicked off the event by performing carols.
Two sisters also participating in raising money by selling baked good.
All of the money raised by kids donated a total of $710 to the evening auction.
The auction runs through Saturday afternoon.
Last year, the event raised almost a total of $500,000 for local children charities and programs.
