Alton selectman arrested for disorderly conduct during meeting


ALTON - Jeffery Clay of Alton, NH was arrested during the Feb. 3 meeting.

Clay had asked the other selectmen to resign for what he called "poor actions."

The selectmen called it a "character assination" and "libel" and asked Clay to stop several times during the meeting.

When he continued, Clay was arrested for disorderly conduct by Alton Police Chief Ryan Heath, who was at the meeting on a seperate matter.

Clay has hired high-profile Attorney Mark Sisti to represent him in court.
