Alton man accused of dining and dashing at NH restaurant
WOLFEBORO — Police arrested an Alton man accused of eating at a local restaurant and then leaving without paying the bill.
Greg Regan, 34, had been dining at the El Centenario Restaurant at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday when he allegedly left without paying, prompting workers to call police.
Police found Regan on Central Avenue and said they could detect alcohol on his breath. When speaking with Regan, he became "verbally aggressive" and when officers tried to take him into protective custody for intoxication, he resisted, police said.
Officers determined that Regan already was out on bail. He is charged with theft of services, breach of bail, resisting arrest and protective custody.
He is scheduled to appear in Ossipee district court June 21 at 8 a.m.
