Allenstown woman pleads guilty to Social Security, Medicaid, food stamp fraud
CONCORD — Kim Wheeler, 46, of Allenstown pleaded guilty in the United States District Court for two counts of Social Security fraud and two counts of theft of public money, United States Attorney Emily Gray Rice said.
In February 2005, Wheeler started receiving Social Security disability benefits as the payee for her child. She was also receiving Food Stamps and Qualified Medicare Beneficiary benefits starting in May 2010.
Wheeler failed to disclose that her husband, who is the father of her children, was employed full time and lived with her and their children. His income would have made it impossible for Wheeler to be collecting these funds.
The court will review the report before sentencing Wheeler.
