Alcohol is believd to be a factor in an ATV crash seriously injuring a Massachusetts man

CARROLL — A Massachusetts man suffered serious injuries after an ATV crash on Friday.

The ATV was rolled into a ditch a little before midnight near Woodland Acres.

Brandon Haugh, 38, of Lowell, MA was alone when he went off the road on a curve and vaulted into a very steep drainage ditch.

Haugh had been working on the ATV and friends assumed he had taken it on a test ride. After a while, they went looking for him and found him unconscious.

He was transported to Littleton Regional Hospital before being medflighted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

Although the investigation is ongoing, speed and alcohol are believed to be the major contributing factors in this crash.

His condition is unknown at this time.
