AG seeks to consolidate charges against Kibby in teen's kidnapping
The attorney general has asked to consolidate the charges against a Gorham man accused of kidnapping a North Conway teen.
Nathaniel Kibby is facing more than 200 charges combined in Coos and Carroll counties, including sexual assault, kidnapping, indecent exposure, criminal threatening, witness tampering, sale of a controlled drug, second-degree assault and felonius use of a firearm.
The AG is asking the all charges be consolidated into one county and have a single judge presiding.
Kibby's charges date back to October 2013 when the then-14-year-old girl disappeared from her North Conway home only to turn up nearly nine months later in July. A week later, she identified her alleged kidnapper as Nathaniel Kibby. He has been held in jail since then on $1 million cash bail.
