AG's office releases identities of two found dead in Nashua murder-suicide

NASHUA - The Attorney General's office has released more information from a murder-suicide over the weekend, including the identities of the two people.

The AG says Meg Halley, 55, of 1 Hutchinson St., was stabbed to death by her long-time boyfriend, Allen Rediker, 58, also of 1 Hutchinson St.

Rediker's cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the head and his manner of death was suicide, the AG said.

Based on the investigation, it is believed that the couple was out with friends and drinking alcohol, in the downtown area. Sometime after 10 p.m., Halley and Rediker started walking home, an argument ensued and Rediker pulled out a knife and stabbed Halley to death on the Baldwin Street Bridge, the AG said.

Afterward, Rediker walked to his home, armed himself with a handgun, and engaged in a standoff with the police before eventually taking his own life, the AG said.

No further details are expected to be released until the investigation is completed.
