Adorable 7-year-old calls 911 in a panic after accidently touching Elf on the Shelf

OLD BRIDGE, N.J. - Everyone knows the No. 1 rule of "Elf on the Shelf" is not to touch him or his powers will go away. So when a little girl accidentally touched the elf, she panicked.

Isabella LaPeruta, 7, of Old Bridge, N.J., called 9-1-1 after she touched her Elf on the Shelf, according to Fox News. And although she told police she meant to call her dad, they still went to her house.

Isabella's mother woke from a nap to see her 7-year-old daughter trying to shoo the officers away.

After talking to the officers, Isabella apologized and agreed not to call the police unless it was an emergency.
