Adam Sandler to host NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at NHMS

NASCAR has a line for movie star Adam Sandler to say: drivers, start your engines.
Sandler, a Manchester native, will serve as the 25th Anniversary Grand Marshal for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. Sandler will be involved with introductions on the Magic Mile front stretch, attend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver's meeting, and ignite the New Hampshire 301 with the start engine command.
“When I was a little kid in New Hampshire, I used to watch NASCAR with my dad and brother and we [loved] it," Sandler said in a press release. "I know my dad would be baffled that I’m getting this honor and I'll be thinking of him when I'm saying those words! Great to be home! Always!”
The speedway made the official announcement in front of fans on Wednesday. The New Hampshire 301 will be broadcast on NBC Sports live at 1:30 p.m. on July 19.
