Accused Pumpkin Fest rioters appear in Keene court; most plead guilty

KEENE - Several of the rioters who participated in the riots surrounding Pumpkin Fest had their day in court.

Many men pleaded guilty to felonies of reckless conduct or misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief. Connor Wishart decided to take his case to trial, after refusing to pay outstanding fines associated with his charges.

Wishart is facing two disorderly conduct charges. He has also been convicted on pervious and unrelated drug charges.

"If you have someone who throws a canister versus someone who picks up a sign obviously the two hundred and fifty dollar fine and then the six-hundred-dollar fines are very different. I didn't find that fair so might as well take it to trial and see what happens," said Wishart.

Wishart is due back in court April 15th.
