Accused Manchester intruder gets hand cut by resident while trying to break in

MANCHESTER – In an attempt to scare an accused intruder, a Manchester resident said he swung a kitchen knife at him and cut his hand.

According to police, a man was walking home when Doniel Sackey, 33, approached him in an alley outside of the man’s apartment and asked for money.

When the man kept walking, Sackey allegedly struck his foot in the door as he walking into the apartment.

The resident grabbed a kitchen knife and swung it, attempting to scare Sackey and cut his hand.

Sackey was charged with burglary and was transported to Catholic Medical Center and treated for his wound.
