Accidental shooting at Londonderry Fish and Game Club during training
LONDONDERRY - There was an accidental shooting at a Londonderry Fish and Game club on Saturday.
Club president Rick Olson told NH1 News that this occurred during a training and the trainee had their finger where it didn't belong and accidentally shot the trigger.
The gun shot was self inflicted. It entered the victims right thigh and came out of the right thigh.
The victim was transported to Catholic Medical Center.
"They were new to gun handling and had his finger where it didn't belong," Olsen said.
The Londonderry Fish & Game Club is a private club. LFGC's funding comes largely from member dues and donations.
*Correction: The accidental shooting happened at a Fish and Game Club. A private citizen accidentally shot himself - not a member of the state department of Fish and Game. The Fish and Game department was not at all involved.
