Accident on Front Street in Manchester caused delays
MANCHESTER - Commuters in the Queen City were rerouted due to a major accident on Front Street Friday morning.
Fire and Police crews arrived at the scene around 4 a.m. They told NH1 News the car was driven by a man who hit a guardrail after driving down 3A south. The man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency crews said the man suffered an injury to the throat and cannot speak with officials.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation. The car hit the back of a SUV parked in a driveway on Front Street after taking out the guardrail.
"I saw them pulling out the stretcher and pulling out the guy and then I realize the back end of my truck was just gone. I assume he was going too fast and when he hit the guardrail it crashed into my truck. Not a good thing to wake up to," said Joshua Caron, owner of the SUV.
The crash scene was cleared and Front Street was reopened.
