Accident almost causes teen driver to land in Merrimack River in Hudson
NASHUA - A driver narrowly missed ending up in the Merrimack River after hitting a snowbank and losing control of his car.
Around 3:35 p.m. Saturday State Police, Nashua police, Nashua Fire Rescuse and the Hudson Fire Department responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident on the Sagamore Bridge.
Police said Colin Malone, 17, of Nashua, was driving a Honda Accord when he lost control and hit a small snowbank sending the car up onto the bridge railing.
Malone was issued a citation for a motor vehicle violation. Neither alcohol or drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash.
