A few accidents reported as Friday morning snow makes for messy commute in NH, Mass., Maine

Early morning snow caused several school closures and cancellations and a messy morning commute Friday.

Speeds on Interstates 89 and 93 as well as the Everett Turnpike are reduced to 45 mph.

Speeds on the highways also were reduced in Maine and Massachusetts.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation had reported only a couple of minor accidents on state highways as of 8:30 a.m., including one in Tilton.

The Cheshire County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook that they have received more than 100 calls involving accidents and vehicles off the road, some involving multiple vehicles.
