74 recent grads arrested in Sunapee after underage drinking party

SUNAPEE – 74 underage people were placed in police custody after Sunapee Police responded to a party at approximately 4 a.m. Monday morning.

According to Sunapee police, they received a report of a young man found unresponsive hanging outside of a car window.

When police arrived at 23 Trow Hill Road, they found numerous cars and underage people consuming alcohol.

Police used a Sunapee school bus to take the 74 teenagers, all of which were recent graduates of Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass., to the police department.

23 of the teenagers are facing charges of underage possession and transportation of alcoholic beverages while the remaining 51 were placed in protective custody.

All of the teenagers have been released to their parents or relatives.
