620 bags of heroin seized after drug investigation, Winchester man arrested


WINCHESTER - 620 bags of heroin have been seized and a 50-year-old man has been arrested after a drug investigation.

Winchester police and members of the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force arrested James K. Foster of Winchester on Monday.

A search warrant was obtained for Foster's home where officials said they found 620 bags of suspected heroin and approximately a 1/4 pound of marijuana.

The estimated street value of the heroin is $6250.

Foster was charged with two felony counts of sale of a controlled drug-heroin, a felony count of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute-heroin, and a count of possession with intent to distribute-marijuana.

He was arraigned in court on Tuesday. and is currently being held in the Cheshire County jail.

Police said investigations related to the case are ongoing.
