New Hampshire State Police said an unannounced inspection of commercial vehicles has resulted in more than 300 violations, 61 of which placed drivers or vehicles out of service.
A total of 181 inspections were done statewide Tuesday.
Police said the out-of-service violations ranged from drivers possessing alcohol to failure to comply with hours of service regulations.
Violations for vehicles out of service included defective brakes, tires and defective lighting.
Police said the unannounced inspections will continue throughout the year.
