60-year-old NH man airlifted to Boston after motorcycle crash
PELHAM — A 60-year-old New Hampshire man was airlifted to Boston after crashing his motorcycle on Sunday.
According to Pelham police, around 9:15 a.m. the motorcycle driver lost control of his bike at the intersection of Old Bridge St. and Bridge St.
Police identified Mike Wagstaff of Pelham, as the driver of the maroon Kawasaki Concourse motorcycle that was found lying on its right side in the middle of the northbound lane of Bridge St.
Police say, both the motorcycle and Wagstaff went to the ground and slid about 80 feet from where the motorcycle initially made contact with the pavement.
Pelham fire and rescue teams report, Wagstaff was transported by Boston Med-Flight to Tufts Medical Center to seek treatment for severe head injuries.
According to police, Wagstaff was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation at this time, speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
