PORTSMOUTH — Police made a major marijuana bust at a Woodbury Avenue home on Wednesday, seizing 51 pot plants.

Christian Lydon, 47, of Portsmouth, was taken into custody and charged with felony drug manufacturing and felony drug possession. Police said they found the plants in a “sophisticated indoor grow house” in Lydon’s basement.

The arrest and seizure came after a month-long investigation, which was initiated when an officer smelled marijuana in the air while on patrol.

The marijuana seized is worth about $100,000, police said.
