50K Powerball winner bought ticket at Manchester store

MANCHESTER - No one has won the Powerball jackpot, but someone bought a ticket that's now worth $50,000 from Bunny's Superette on Webster Street.

Those at the store say they don't know who the lucky winner is yet - only that they sold the winning ticket. The winner was one of more than 18 million players across the nation who won lesser prizes totaling about $159 million.

Meanwhile the jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1.3 billion. The next drawing will be Wednesday, Jan. 13.

The chances of winning a Powerball jackpot are estimated at one in 175 million. Compare that against the chances of becoming a movie star - roughly on in 1.5 million. Your chances of getting struck by lightning are much greater -- about one in 135,000.
