EPPING — Five teens escaped from a car fire after it had turned over following a collision on Route 125.

A 2006 Hyundai was traveling southbound on Rt 125 when the operator attempted to make a U-turn at the Rt 101 intersection lights. A 2007 Honda Pilot struck the vehicle on the passenger side, police said.

The Hyundai had four passengers and the operator inside. The car rolled over on its side in the middle of the road when the fire began to ignite. All of the people inside escaped before the fire started.

The operator of the Hyundai suffered head and eye trauma. The operator of the Honda suffered wrist and face pain. Both drivers were transferred to Exeter Hospital with minor injuries.

The four other passengers suffered no injuries.

According to the Union Leader, a Newmarket firefighter who was in the area stopped and used a fire extinguisher to help put out the flames. A Raymond firefighter also was passing by and stopped to assist before Epping firefighters arrived.
