5 injured in rollover crash

STOUGHTON, Mass. (AP) — Two people were thrown from a van and three more were injured when the vehicle rolled over in Massachusetts.

State police say it happened around 3:15 a.m. Saturday on Route 24 in Stoughton.

A preliminary investigation indicates a 24-year-old Brockton woman was driving the van when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over.

Two passengers, a 24-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man, both from Brockton, were ejected from the vehicle. The woman was taken to a Boston hospital with serious injuries. The man was treated for minor injuries.

Two more passengers, a 35-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from Brockton, were taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. The driver suffered minor injuries. Three more passengers were uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation.
