5 accused sexual predators remain free after NH private school misconduct report
CONCORD — Five of the 13 accused sexual predators who previously worked at St. Paul's School in Concord remain free.
Boston law firm Casner & Edwards LLP conducted an independent investigation into cases of sexual misconduct against 34 former and current faculty and staff members from St. Paul's, releasing their findings to the public Monday morning. The school substantiated 13 of those allegations.
Seven of the 13 accused are deceased, one is currently in prison and the other five are scattered throughout the world.
Former Rev. Howard Willard "Howdy" White Jr.
White pleaded guilty to sexual abuse charges that stemmed from his time at St. George's School in Rhode Island on May 15.
Prosecutors said White assaulted the male student during two overnight trips to Boston in 1973.
White received an 18-month sentence, which he is currently serving at the South Bay Corrections Facility in Boston.
"White is a serial abuser and I'm pleased that he's finally in jail," said Carmen Durso, who represented the victim in the St. George's case.
Following his sentence, White will be placed on five years probation where he can not have unsupervised contact with anyone under 18.
