4-year-old pictured in car with heroin-overdosed grandmother sent to new home

East Liverpool, OHIO— The 4-year-old boy in the photos of the two adults overdosed on heroin is now headed to a new home.

Police in East Liverpool, Ohio, recently posted a graphic photo of their findings to illustrate the dangers of "the poison known as heroin."

The child pictured in the back is going to South Carolina to live with his great-aunt and great-uncle, according to NBCChicago.

His grandmother, who had been previously identified as his mother, Rhonda Pasek, is in jail awaiting trial on charges of endangering a child and public intoxication.

Pasek was granted custody of the boy just six weeks before she and 47-year-old James Lee Acord were arrested last week by Ohio Police.
