4 arrested in Northfield riot

NORTHFIELD — Friday night the police were called in regards to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Park Street and Dearborn Road.

The call reported that there was a fight starting at the scene and when police arrived they broke up the crowd and arrested four people.

Trever Hoyt, 20, of Stuart, FL and he was charged with riot, disorderly conduct, breach of bail conditions from an incident in Northfield on May 16 for criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and simple assault.

Demetrius Furse, 33, of Indian Town, FL, was charged with riot, resisting arrest and operating without a valid license.

Justin Gebo, 21, of Northfield, was charged with riot, disorderly conduct, obstructing government administration and two counts of resisting arrest.

James Weatherbee, 21, of Northfield, was charged with riot, disorderly conduct, obstructing government administration and resisting arrest.

The accident and fight were later determined to be separate incidents. One driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
