CANDIA - A dog is dead and a family home was gutted after a four-alarm fire Friday morning.
The fire broke out at 45 Laliberte Lane at about 10:15 a.m.
The owners of the home said a 90 lb. dog died in the fire.
Firefighters on the scene said they heard an explosion, but the owners were not home at the time of the fire.
There are no fire hydrants in Candia so fire crews had to set up a water holding tank.
A fourth alarm was called because of the heat outside.
The investigation is still ongoing.
