4 accidents clog Route 101 in Milford during morning commute

MILFORD - A series of four motor vehicle accidents happened beginning with a crash that stopped traffic on Route 101 this morning.

The first crash happened at the intersection of Route 101A at the ramps to and from Route 101 West. An eastbound vehicle driven by Paul Gianetta of Nashua collided with a vehicle driven by Eric Lavoie of Nashua. Lavoie was turning left to enter onto the westbound ramp from Nashua street. The cause of the accident is still being investigated. Milford police have asked all witnesses to contact them.

The second accident happened when when Alexander Scribner of Peterborough tried to make a U-Turn on Route 101 and was struck by Steven Johnson of Merrimack traveling in the opposite direction. Scribner was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The third accident was near the on ramp to Route 101 westbound. Both vehicles suffered minor damage, and the drivers were able to leave the scene in them.

The fourth accident involved three vehicles. Due to sun-glare, one vehicle drove into the rear end of the vehicle ahead of it, which collided with a third. The first vehicle was driven by Bryan Thompson of Manchester, who was released from the hospital after inspection for minor injuries. Jillian Beaucher of Wilton, the driver of the second vehicle, was transported to the hospital was unspecified serious injuries.
