32nd Chowder Fest set for Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH (AP) — Nearly 20 restaurants will be competing Saturday in the 32nd Annual Chowder Fest in Portsmouth.
The Prescott Park Arts Festival event starts at 11:30 a.m., and includes live music, oyster shucking and family friendly activities. Restaurants will be competing for both the Judge's Choice Award and the Golden Ladle or people's choice award.
The event is free for members of the arts festival, $14 for non-member adults and $7 for children age 12 and under. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own spoons, or they can be borrowed for a $1 deposit.
