3-year-old Shih Tzu known as 'Puppy' on the road to recovery after severe neglect

LONDONDERRY - A formerly neglected 3-year-old Shih Tzu known as "Puppy" is said to be doing extremely well after he was rescued by police from an apartment two weeks ago.

Puppy was severely neglected by his former owners Jada Demas and Jennifer Moscardini, when Londonderry police found him at their apartment of 112 Rockingham Road, they said.

Police said that Puppy is now in the loving care of a local family and is doing great on his long road to recovery.

Police also said that Puppy's foster family has been monitoring him 24 hours and that "his recovery has been nothing short of remarkable given the dire situation he was in when found."

Puppy is described as extremely friendly and loving, and shows no signs of aggression waiting to be held.

His alleged neglectors, Demas and Moscardini, are due back in court on Mar 15.
