3-year-old's 'suspicious injuries' lead to assault charges for Nashua man


NASHUA — A man accused of beating a 3-year-old back in May was taken into custody on Thursday, July 21.

Police charged Corey Jordan, 23, of Nashua, with second-degree assault after the toddler was reported with “suspicious injuries” at the hospital.

An investigation pointed to Jordan – who is not related to the child – as a suspect, police said.

He was held on $7,500 bail and scheduled to be arraigned Monday. The crime Jordan is accused of committing is punishable by up to seven years in prison.
