3 teens arrested in Wolfeboro, found in possession of 'wax,' potent form of marijuana
WOLFEBORO – Three teenagers were arrested Friday after police found marijuana, paraphernalia and Butane Honey Oil, commonly used to produce the new form of marijuana known as "wax," in their possession.
Max Kaklins, of Brookline MA, Peter Shanahan, of Boxford, MA, and Zachariah Butler of Bethesda, MD were arrested when police searched their vehicle after receiving a report that one of the minors attempted to purchase alcohol.
According to Wolfeboro police, the teens had Butane Honey Oil, an extremely concentrated form of marijuana with them.
NH1 News investigated "waxing," the new form of marijuana that is produced using butane lighter fluid and raw marijuana for a high that is about 20 times more potent.
Kaklins, Shanahan and Butler were charged and released on bail.
They are scheduled to appear in Ossipee court on August 5.
