3 moose struck in 3 hours in North Country

TWIN MOUNTAIN - Three moose were hit in three separate accidents over the course of three hours Friday, according to New Hampshire State Police.

The first happened at 7:04 p.m. on Route 2 in Randolph and involved one car. The second was at 9:32 p.m. on Interstate 93 in Sugar Hill and involved two cars. A third collision occurred at 9:50 p.m. on Route 110 in Stark. Each of the involved cars sustained heavy damage but only minor injuries were reported.

The State Police would like to remind people that wildlife, including moose and deer, is on the move and can often be in the roadway at all hours of the day and night. Police ask motorists to reduce speed and double-check vehicles are equipped with adequate lighting.
