3-alarm fire in Goffstown proves stubborn, crews working through the night to put it out

GOFFSTOWN - Firefighters are battling a three-alarm fire at a one-story home into the night on Wednesday.

The sprawling blaze engulfed a home on Black Brook Road, a rural street.

Several towns responded to the fire - which was helpful given that the area is without fire hydrants. Crews were required to use water brought in tanker cars.

No one was at home at the time of the blaze, officials reported.

The American Red Cross reports that five people, two adults and three children, have been provided a place to stay.
