$22,000 worth of drugs seized from Mass. teen in Keene


KEENE – A 17-year-old from Mass. reported to be in possession of $22,000 worth of drugs was apprehended by authorities in Keene Thursday.

Officers in Keene say an investigation in conjunction with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Drug Task Force provided them with the information that the teenager would be traveling from a city in Mass. to Keene in order to deliver 8 ounces of cocaine. Authorities reported obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle, where the substantial quantity of drugs was found.

Police say the young man is not being detained, but rather was released to his parents back in Mass.

The incident is still under investigation.
