20 people rescued after Manchester apartment fire

MANCHESTER - Firefighters have helped rescue some of the 20 people who escaped from a Manchester apartment building fire.

The fire started early Friday. Firefighters found flames coming from the rear of the building, as well as from porches on the second and third floors.

Reports state a total of 14 adults and six children lived in the building. One person was taken to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
