2 women ID'd as the Rochester Library book bandits

ROCHESTER - Hungry to read. Police have identified two book bandits who allegedly stole 11 books from the Rochester Public Library two weeks ago.

According to Fosters, two women are suspected to have taken books related to topics of "spirituality" from the library on the night of March 14.

Stolen books include the "Encyclopedia of Astrology," "Life's Little Instructions," "Dictionary of Dream Symbols" and "The Witch's Shield."

The library reported that the women set off the library's alarm while leaving, where video surveillance footage revealed their identities.

One of the women is suspected to have hid some of the books in her purse in order to leave unnoticed.

During the active investigation police are not releasing the two women's names, but if arrested they will be charged with theft - a Class B misdemeanor.
