2-vehicle accident on Rt. 101 in Temple leaves 2 drivers entrapped, 3 taken to the hospital

TEMPLE - A two-vehicle accident involving a pick-up truck and a van, resulted in two drivers entrapped in their vehicles and part of Route 101 in Temple closed down.

Wednesday morning, a Grey 2004 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by Trevor King, 33 of Nelson was traveling east on Route 101 in the town of Temple, where investigation revealed that he crossed the center line and hit a 2011 Chevrolet Express van driven by Corey Floyd, 29 of Auburn.

After the impact, Both Floyd and King were entrapped in their vehicles and were extracted by responding fire and rescue personnel from the towns of Jaffrey, Wilton and Peterborough.

King was transported by ambulance to the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua for serious but non-life threatening injuries, while Floyd was air lifted to the U-Mass Medical Center by a Dartmouth- Hitchcock helicopter.

Floyd's passenger, identified as Michael Young, 46 of Manchester was transported to the Monadnock Regional Hospital for non- life threatening injuries as well.

The area of Route 101 was shut down for two hours while rescue teams cleared the roadway. Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact State Trooper Bryan Plamondon, at the State Police Barracks - Troop B in Bedford at 672-3333.
