2 under the age of 21 face domestic assault charges for separate incidents in Merrimack

MERRIMACK – Police in Merrimack have made two arrests over the last few days in response to two separate incidents of alleged domestic assaults.

At about 1:30 a.m. Monday morning, Chauntelle Fair, 18, was arrested in a Dunkin Donuts parking lot after police say she left the home where she allegedly punched a family member in the nose. She was processed and released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail after being charged with domestic violence.

Fair is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

Christian Prater, 20, was charged with domestic violence after allegedly pushing a family member into a door on Friday. Police said Prater fled the scene where the alleged incident occurred, but was located in a van and taken into custody shortly thereafter.

Upon processing, police say they discovered that Prater had an electronic bench warrant for failing to appear on a previous charge.

He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
