2 people suffer life-threatening injuries in motorcycle vs. car crash in Loudon


LOUDON - Two people are fighting for their lives after their motorcycle collided with an SUV Sunday morning, police said.

Police said Rita Wornham, 71, of Leominster, Mass, was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Route 106 when her 2014 Kia Sorento allegedly cut into the path of 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Both the driver of the motorcycle, Robert Palombo, 49, of Freedom, and his passenger Stacey Light, 51, of Fremont, suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
