2 NH families displaced after bathroom fire
MANCHESTER — Four adults and one child were reportedly displaced after a building fire on Saturday.
According to Manchester Fire and Rescue officials, the call came in reporting a bathroom fire around 1:45 p.m.
The 620 Silver St. apartment building reportedly caught fire in the second-story bathroom; crews say the second floor of the structure was completely engulfed upon arrival.
Manchester fire officials say that an aggressive attack on the flames prevented the fire from spreading.
The fire allegedly caused $15,000 in damage to the building, but firefighters say no one was hurt in the process.
The Red Cross wrote they would be stepping in to help the three displaced occupants.
District Fire Chief Brendan Burns reported that the blaze is still under investigation but was believed to have been caused by an electrical issue.
