The Associated Press

DOVER — Police say two men were hospitalized after the car they were driving crashed into a tree in Dover.

Dover police Sgt. Linda Anderson tells Foster's Daily Democrat the single-vehicle crash happened Sunday afternoon. Responders found a white 2007 Nissan Sentra that had crashed into a tree.

Anderson says a male passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle. The names of the male driver and passenger were withheld by police.

Both men were transported to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. Anderson says neither man was wearing a seat belt. Both are expected to survive.

The crash remains under investigation.
