KEENE — The two men who allegedly broke into a Keene home and beat the residents with a hammer and a crowbar on Wednesday have been arrested.

Police responded to the residence at 45E Damon Court at about 5:08 a.m. on Wednesday for a report of a man yelling for help.

Jacob Hudson, 20, of Keene, and Austin Furlong, 20, homeless, allegedly entered the residence with a crowbar and a hammer with the intent to rob them, according to police.

The residents of the home, Randy Fish, 53, and Ricki Fish, 49, both sustained deep lacerations to their head, which required emergency medical treatment. They have since been released from the hospital.

Police obtained a warrant for Hudson's address, which led to the arrest of the two men.

Hudson was found and arrested in Keene. Furlong was tracked down at a residence in Bennington, where local police arrested him and transported to Antrim Police Department. He was then turned over to Keene Police custody.

The two men are facing charges of armed robbery for "recklessly" causing serious injury to another, and burglary, both felonies.

Both Hudson and Furlong were both held without bail at the Cheshire County Jail and will be arraigned at the Cheshire Superior Court on December 9th in the early afternoon.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone who has further information is encouraged to call the Keene Police Department at 603-357-9820.
