2 Manchester residents charged in shooting outside of Massachusetts hookah bar
MANCHESTER — After investigating a drive-by shooting outside of a Massachusetts hookah bar, two Queen City residents were arrested in Manchester.
In the early morning hours of Monday, police investigated a drive-by shooting which took place outside of a hookah bar in Metheun, Massachusetts.
After advising dispatch that a New Hampshire registered vehicle was involved in the incident, New Hampshire police were able to locate and stop the vehicle in Manchester.
The rear seat passenger was identified as Manuel Velasquez, 31 of Manchester, and the front seat passenger was identified as Moise Herrera, 25, also of Manchester. The operator of the vehicle was the registered owner, Aisha Herrera.
Officers located a Hi-Point .380 caliber handgun on Velasquez, police said.
Herrera and Rodriguez were arrested and charged with fugitives from justice based on the Massachusetts warrants, which charged Herrera with assault by dangerous weapon to wit firearm, discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a building and disorderly person.
Massachusetts authorities charged Rodriguez with unlawful possession of a firearm and disorderly person.
Velasquez was not charged as a result of the incident, so he was released from the scene.
Both Herrera and Velasquez are scheduled to appeared in court Monday.
