2 Lebanon police officers presented with awards after saving man's life

LEBANON — Two police officers were awarded commendation bars for life saving.

Sergeant Richard Norris and Corporal Michael Wright were presented with the awards during the city council meeting Wednesday.

On Aug. 12 the officers responded to a report of a male who had overdosed and was not breathing.

The officers assessed the patient and found that he also had no pulse. They administered CPR until they were able to detect a pulse and restore breathing.

The Lebanon Fire Department administered NARCAN upon their arrival before providing further treatment.

Chief Richard Mello presented the award to the officers and thanked them for their life-saving actions.

Both officers are part of the patrol division. Norris has been with the Lebanon police department since 2007 and Wright since 2005.
