2 injured in snowmobile accident


HOOKSETT - Police officers responded to a snowmobile accident involving a motor vehicle.

At approximately 1:40 p.m. police officers responded to the area of Whitehall Rd. and the Candia Town line for a snowmobile accident involving injuries.

Officials said two juveniles were operating a snowmobile and, as it was crossing the road it was struck by a GMC Savana van traveling East bound.

Police said the two juvenile riders were transported to the hospital with several injuries and at this time the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Officials also said Ronald Nash, 64 of Weare, was the driver of the GMC van and was not injured. Officials said he is cooperating with police.

Officials said the incident is still under investigation and at this time alcohol and speed do not appear to be a factor.
