2 elderly people killed in 2-car crash in Ossipee

OSSIPEE — Two elderly people are dead following a two-car crash at the intersection of Routes 28 and 171.

Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident Sunday at about 9:43 a.m.

Arthur Defeo, 87 from Wakefield, entered the intersection from Courthouse Square driving a 2004 BMW and was struck by David Durgin of Denmark, Maine, driving a Ford F350 who was northbound on Route 28.

Both Defeo and his passenger Anne Pollaci, 80 of Wakefield, died as a result of their injuries sustained in the accident.
