2-car accident involving a police cruiser on Rt. 119 in Rindge

RINDGE — Police responded to a two-car collision that involved a police cruiser.

Wednesday afternoon, police got reports of a car accident at the intersection of Route 119 and Cathedral Road in the town of Rindge.

It was learned that Sgt. Kevin Oxford was driving a state police cruiser westbound on Route 119, when Catherine Moore of Antrim was traveling from Cathedral Road onto Route 119 in her 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Moore and her passenger, Patricia Long of Bennington then collided with the police cruiser.

Both Moore and Long were taken to the Monadnock Community Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Sgt. Oxford was treated on scene for non-life threatening injuries.

The collision is under investigation.
